Bikes nicked overnight from ABR Festival 2019

Post by johnnyboxer » Fri Jul 12, 2019 7:56 am

Just seen on FB

Patsy Quick and Desert Rose racing has had 5 bikes nicked overnight from the festival site - parked outside her truck whilst she & the team slept inside

Not good

I thought security would be tighter

Taking a bigger chain now

Sad

Doesn’t bode well for everyone else who has to leave their bike outside their tent.

Need to figure out how safely to pack my 10kg chain then

Could put it on top of the rail pack but then I’d be wheelieing every where

Decided to leave my XR400 at home now, no ignition and easy to steal - even with a big chain

So just unloaded it out of the Van - will just camp in my Van and ride the demo/try out bikes instead and go to the talks

Funnily enough I woke up from a very vivid dream at 4am . which was about bikes (my bike being nicked) - so I'll take it as a premonition

Still be be good to camp in the Van and have a wander/try bikes and go kayaking

Scumbags.

Let's hope that 'security' will be on their toes now if anymore scrotes appear :(

I feel sorry for Alan and the team and all the hard work put in to make this event a success... Security needs kicking and sudely all vehicles should be searched going out to check they are the owners... I hope with all the publicity the tents etc are safe as folks will have valuables along... Bet someone is been given a right royal rollicking..

Have fun and keep the eyes peeled and maybe some zip ties on doors etc...

Plenty of trees to hang them from.
