Great song. I've spent SO many years playing Abraxas that I'd almost forgotten it's Peter Green's song, not Carlos'.

Doesn't really matter - it's just superb.

On the subject of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, his Splinter group’s not bad.

I'm not normally one for tribute bands, but a french U2 rip off band was playing nearby last night so we went along. They were bloody brilliant, and when you closed your eyes it was U2 - simple as that. Amazing. A great stage, excellent lighting, lots of Marshall stacks, plenty of volume, a warm evening, a big field and lots of cold beer. If I can't be at Glastonbury right now, this will have to do. Loved it.

During the gig, the promised cold front blew through and the temperature dropped from about 35 to 25 with a nice breeze, and the mosh pit took off. Fantastic.
