Sprockette's Bulldog Bash

Post by Sprockette »

Hi all, just a few pictures I took of the 25th Bulldog Bash last week. It was brilliant, as always and I would recommend it to any who haven't been. Nice atmosphere, relaxed people and you don't have to explain to anyone the "why" of biking, they all understand! :woohoo:

Firstly, parked just inside the gate to get my bearings:

Bikes and tents as far as the eye can see:

First stop after getting bearings: The Drag Strip. Some people running-wot-they-brung:

Image

The bike in left-hand lane in the above picture was easily one of the noisiest of the run-wot-ya-brung bikes and quite fast too, appearances can be deceptive!

A lovely stretched and slammed Katana (I think!):

Terry Grant was also performing there. This is him driving his little stunt car whilst sitting on the bonnet:

There were non-street drag bikes too. Many Funnybikes:

And cars too:

The Fireforce jetcar was there as well:

There was also the Custom Show Tent too. The first gorgeous bike to greet you as you came in through the er..flap I suppose:

This next one was one of my favourites:

And this one really caught my eye too:

Out and about around the camp section of the site there were lots and lots of bikes in all shapes, sizes and flavours. Trikes too. This one stood out a bit:

As did this one:

As for the bikes there were things like this Ducati (?) ratbike (I lurve the ratbikes):

This BSA is gorgeous:

And many others but I'm not going to post up pictures of Common-or-Garden bikes, I'm sure you all know what bikes look like!

There was also lots of good live music on the main stage...:

...and plenty of really good unsigned ones on Area 81 (as always):

There was also plenty of this:

All in all a really good way to spend a weekend. Highly recommended.

A pleasure to post, maybe next year there will be an ABR base camp. Apparently many lanes in the area to ride out to when the going is slow/drag strip rained off/most people are sober*. I think a lot of regular forum posters live quite close by too.

I believe the magazine lives not too far away from the site.

*or at least, sober enough.
