I've just thought its been nearly 3 years since I bought the WK400 and in that time I've not seen another. It would be good to meet another owner for a ride out and share some of the bike idiosyncrasies. .................I'm located on the sunny south coast of Peacehaven Sussex but happy to travel to meet halfvway. .......... :?

I'd love to! Definitely up for meeting half way. June is looking busy for me but how about a weekend in July? Weekdays a possibility too if I can plan ahead a bit.

Thanks so much for the tips. Yes I've been poring over your contributions to the thread and will try what you suggest. It's good to know that backfiring is to be expected and can be sorted.

Also love the look of that seat profile. Have just found these and plan to give them a try http://www.swautotrimming.co.uk/services.html

Google maps is telling a little over 2 hrs, but I'd still be up for it. Looks like a good place to visit.

I think I may need a new battery first too tho - doesn't seem to be holding charge well and I had trouble starting her in the wet yesterday! It's a 2016 bike so if it's still on the original battery I wouldn't be surprised.

Case saver and crash bars are on the way too, and I decided to go for the hard luggage since it's all part of the "adventure" package from Quadzilla.

Excellent on the meet at Loomies.......

Sounds good on the parts your getting, hope to see some before and after pictures.....

My battery is still okay...…....nearly 3 years on but took the decision to keep it plumbed up to a charger/conditioner from new which has kept it alive.........not sure if it will last much longer though.........I bookmarked this battery on e-bay incase mine went and looks good spec and the correct size...….seems to have a strong CCA rating

****Brake pad update****

Hi all, way back on page 13,14,15 and 16 we entered into a brake pad debate as we were all finding out about things with the bike. The brake pads as we understood were not readily available other than OEM from quadzilla which I listed out some prices on page 49. With the help of mac10biker we got an EBC version for the front and now available for the rear again listed on here. One of the options listed near the bottom of page 14 which were silver in colour were assumed to be incorrect and also you would need to order via a Chinese website.

I can confirm that from CMPO those very pads are available which I purchased some while ago but omitted reporting on here...………..

At the time they were £4.08 :o , now £8,79 + P&P so I took a punt as my stock front pads were wearing fast and didn't feel great, which is common trait with the bike, I've had the pads in for circa 4000 miles and after the initial break in period they were a vast improvement on the stock pads the main different is they are wearing far less than the stock ones, don't expect stoppies but in my view better than stock and really cheap. I bought another set as well at £4.08 assuming they would wear quick but getting close to 7k changed around 2K and still going strong. I've not tried the EBC pads so cant comment on them but as a cost effective alternative though I would mention the CMPO ones. Being a bit of an anorak I also sprayed the metal parts of the pads satin black rather than silver obviously masking the pad surface first......

NB my rear pads are original and have plenty of life left in them, could be due to riding style

Very useful, thanks. I may change mine. I do find the front brake very soft and I'm just adjusting to it but that's not going to break the bank.

I had the dreaded cut out today, throttle closed in 2nd coming down a steep hill with crap from the recent rain all over it  Thankfully the bike started again straight away but it just brought the tappets, TPS and the tank gasket up my to do list. Just got my feeler gauges and a multimeter so will be looking at those soon hopefully.

The luggage and crash bars came today. Luggage seems good to me, easy to fit and seem solid. Funny thing though: My WK had the bars for the hard panniers already fitted, they had scratches on so looked used and also there was a mystery key on the keyring. Turns out it's exactly the same as the keys I got with the panniers and it does actually open them :D One size fits all.

Crash bars came blissfully free of instructions so have yet to figure out how they fit! I'll post some pics soon.

Oh and the battery: It's definitely losing charge when standing and had trouble starting yesterday. Are those batteries you linked better than the Quadzilla ones d'you think Netsonic? Quadzilla have quoted me £37 with delivery.

This is the one Quadzilal are selling:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173901684320

If you buy it off Ebay it's still Quadzilla but delivery is free :D

If you search YTZ14s https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batt ... es/ytz14s/ ............Tanya batteries do similar and I would go for a higher CCA and AH rating than Quadzillas, the one on e bay is quoting the same spec as the Yuasa but half the price and Tanya have a Numax which looks good too, Tanya adds P+P

Thanks! I went for the Numax one - have to pay shipping but it gets here faster and the reviews of the batteries were really good. Not sure if that counts for much but not being very knowledgeable here I've gone for personal recommendation + reviews. Will update when it arrives...
