Brittany Ferries - anyone know what's going on?
Brittany Ferries - anyone know what's going on? The Pont Aven boat appears to have broken down about 3 or 4 times in May and is now out of service until at least 14th June....we're booked on it on 19th June... . Has anyone on the forum been affected or managed to get a refund or a reschedule so far?

Three of us were booked to travel from Santander to Plymouth on it last Monday after doing some TET in Spain and Portugal.
It was only when we got in touch to try and change our crossing due to a (self inflicted) bike problem that we were told there wouldn't be any crossings for at least 2 weeks!!
That was a long ride to Caen on a CRF 250L
Still trying to sort out a refund, but suspect it won't cover the extra hotels, fuel or tolls as the bunch of gits just shrugged an said '"that's what holiday insurance is for" so won't trust a word they say ever again!
The little CRF's proved to be amazing over the 1400km jaunt in two days with no problems

It had an engine fire earlier in may, I was booked to sail but got a text 3 days before informing me of technical problems and no sailing. Rode from Yorkshire through the tunnel and down to Southern Portugal extra 3 days on my holidays. After few phone calls and emails I received a refund. Then used the other boat to return to the UK couple of weeks later. Main problem was getting through to the switchboard, constantly engaged for a couple of days. Would have expected them to have it sorted by now.
Re: Brittany Ferries - anyone know what's going on?
We had a ferry cancelled and Brittany Ferries were very helpful.
They refunded the difference between the 2 ferry costs and paid us our fuel from Santander to Caen.
We actually got more back than it cost us for the original crossing .
We were polite and just asked.

They also assured us they'd pay for the fuel (and sure they will) but did fancy the cushy ferry ride home a bit more more than 20 hours on a little trail bike!
