Re: Montesa 4ride
Looks lovely, Id love to see a comparison between one of these and a 250 ktm freeride
Tempted to get something along these lines, only concern is fuel range and gearing to cope with some short road work

Re: Montesa 4ride
I really like the look of that Montesa. But Bob didn't want a 2 stroke, so the Freeride 250 was out. If you don't mind 2 or 4 stroke and you want a light trials/enduro crossover bike then the Beta X-Trainer is the one to go for.HedgeHopper wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 6:59 pm Looks lovely, Id love to see a comparison between one of these and a 250 ktm freeride

Re: Montesa 4ride
The gearing is fine for some roadwork , you obviously wouldn't want to do long motorway stretches but that's not what the bike is for , the fuel capacity is on the small side but you have room under the seat for two 750ml fuel bottles so that helps , will do a report when I have put a few miles on it ,HedgeHopper wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 6:59 pm Looks lovely, Id love to see a comparison between one of these and a 250 ktm freeride

Re: Montesa 4ride
How are you getting on with it?
I rode one at the ABR Festival and found it was a bit cramped on a tight course

The Beta X-Trainer now has serious competition from the Gasgas Ranger.
