Blimey, I rode one of those when they first came to the UK.

Very powerful, as I remember.

115bhp I think and a gorgeous engine especially with such a short wheelbase  so different to my gs.
Only 5 in the UK in 2010 and still only 11 today.

I love V-twins. Not those horrible ancient crusty HD things of course.

What I mean is hungry, fast revving, light V-twins that gobble up ground and allow the rider to open the throttle earlier out of corners. Ducati, Moto-Morini, Aprilia Mille, Tuono, Suzuki TL, SV, Bimota SB8 etc....

I rode in the Aprilia Mille Challenge Cup and I just loved my RSVR alongside 39 other booming bikes on the grid. It was great, and I miss it.

And I am about to say goodbye to my TL1000S, which has sat a bit neglected in my workshop for years unridden. They were fab. Hooligan bikes, Twitchy, fast and quick to loft. I had a lot of stupid fun on that bike.

Love Vee Twins...!! I like tweaking things a little.

I've added 2 teeth extra to my rear sprocket for improved oomph up the gears about six years ago, such a difference compared to the standard (boring) gearing, added a K&N air filter and a pair of carbon fibre oval Akrapovic pipes to my DL1000. Lowered the front forks by a quarter inch for quicker/faster steering.

Tweaks are good.

I've owned two V-twins and an inline four. The four was mad fast but nothing beats the character and sound of a V-twin, especially my Guzzi:

I bought a big V-twin in 2006 and still have it. 'Only' 90BHP, a 5500 red line and mega-torque....marvellous!

👍 +1, I got mine in 2009 and it never fails to put the biggest ever grin on my face. The noise it makes with Ralph Elliots straight through pipes is just awesome, not too loud but nice and deep
