Would struggle to get to Preston for 8:00am so will meet at Penrith for 10:00am instead. Will take A1 then A66 route to get straight there if anyone wants to meet up en route. Fill up at Rheged or wherever your breakfast stop is then all set and good to go.
Might need to pack suntan cream and shorts

Re: Ardnamurchan 2019
Taking the scenic route over on Friday . . . . . so thats south over the Lecht & Glenshee, rumble west through Pitlochry & Aberfeldy and then past Loch Tay, onto Crianlarich & Tyndrum and then Glencoe (again - only did it on Saturday ). Finally taking the ferrry and onto Strontian.
Good to see that Eric has placated the weather gods - factor 50 at the ready (water-proof of course).

Re: Ardnamurchan 2019
Sounds good Steve. Not jealous you've got that on your doorstep - honest.
Only been To Scotland twice before but some of that sounds familiar. Is anyone (you?) sorting routes for rideouts or are we just making it up? You can't really go wrong, I remember just being in awe wherever I looked.
I can pack for a week in the sun in 1 hour, few days in Scotland and I've been faffing with my kit for the last 10 days. Is that wrong? Wife thinks so.
Getting excited.
