Ooh that did hurt

Tripped over in the farmyard and put my hands out to save myself , landed on the tip of my little finger and snapped it straight through the broken bone sliced through the lower side and just a bit of skin and flesh left holding the end on , trip to A&E , 24hours later in the operating theatre having it drilled down the centre and a wire inserted , stitched it back up and now back home , lambing one handed !!!!!

Thanks guys , the surgeon did a great job , I opted for a nerve block injection rather than general , it was interesting to watch them work , drilling down the bone to put the wire in was a real precision job , you don't get to watch that every day

Ohh silly bugger....i had nerve block in france with wrist sat watching and hearing drill on huge tv screen was interesting...

Id tape the last 3 fingers together save accidentally catching it.....take it was the clutch hand ...take it easy reccon on 6 weeks ...you will probably have permenant nerve damage ib finger but at least it wasnt the big toe....you loose all sence of balance then..
