It was me. I changed the light on the bike a few weeks ago.

got back at about 12--the doomsayers predicting Armageddon on Sunday were proved slightly wrong. The rain eased overnight and we were able to pack up in the dry(ish). Heading across country it was definitely cool and windy but only the odd local light shower. Back here in the East it was mostly sunny with some slight sleet flurries--so managed to get the mud washed off the tent and kit and also the bike cleaned and briefly checked--before Moto GP!. A great weekend with a spirited and interesting 160 mile road loop led by Tim--who managed to find roads rarely travelled with mud and water, but also some moorland tops and super sweeping stuff--and it stayed dry on Saturday! Also a big thanks to Devon John for organising it again, and the new pub owners seem to be pretty obliging. I hope you got home ok on the BM? The Old Transalp went well for me and is just right for todays traffic--comfortable and reasonably light, no sore rear end and good weather protection and suspension--and the exhaust manifold nuts have stayed tight (noticed them coming loose after the road ride)--all in all a good shakedown for it. Its just all the kit cleaning I don't like--but you can't leave it to fester.!--the turn out was reasonable --but as John has said--so many express interest but don't make the effort--it really is worth it!

Firstly, Many thanks to Devon John for organising another Malvern Rally! I had a great couple of days meeting old friends and new, chatting about the usual bike stuff and eating good pub grub put on by the Marlbank Inn.
Having made the choice to go on the Off Road Rideout I would like to thank Paul for guiding the group of 5 along some great tracks, most of which I enjoyed with the exception of getting the big 950 bogged down in a couple of soggy spots. Great team work throughout the ride made the day a good one. Well done to Dan (YamTen) for keeping such a positive attitude whist laying in the mud on the 'odd' occasion :D
All in all a great weekend.
