Route advice please - Picos/North West Spain

Post by Scott_rider »

Can anyone recommend a route in The Picos/North West Spain covering about 5 days and ending up in Bilbao? We'd also like to stay in one place for 2 of those nights and do 2 day trips to break up the route a bit. We're going in June and we'll be entering the region from the Jaca/Pamplona direction. Thanks guys.

The main route in the picos is a cicuit but plenty of back roads to explore, just stock up on fuel as it aint that widly available... NAVARRA is a great area across to Bilbao... Stay off the main roads and you wont be disappointed... As for digs soz but i camp :P...

Santander has a great night life if your Spanish is good enough...

Just follow your nose. It's really hard to find a poor road away from the coast. Pico's is good but getting busy these days. The green bits on the Michelin maps are a good guide but, frankly, it's just excellent riding throughout. Enjoy it.
Just along for the ride.

Watch for the speed traps especially on the entrance roads of a town ;)
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.
