Heated grips - who uses what?

Post by bunker »

As it says; I'm replacing the Steamers bars and thus the old Hein Gericke heated grips that were on the bike when i bought it will have to go.

So i'm looking for new ones :D aside from Oxford hotgrips, is there anything anybody can recommend these days?

Thanks very much 8-)

I use R&G grips."RIDE Best Buy" a few years ago.Just a small, slim control box with 5 heat settings.I did have one pack up after a couple of years but I was able to just buy one replacement grip for about £10

I can't remember off the top of my head the name (google should help) but the Oxford grips are also branded by the manufacturer. Identical except for the price.

I personally don't recommend the syntec insert type, I had one go after a few months & it was impossible to fix. They are very delicate
With enough profanity, you can accomplish anything

I have Heat Demons from Symtec on two of my bikes.

They work really well and you can wire them up to OE switches and they have two stage heating, warm and hot. They come with either a metal toggle or round plastic switch.

Funny, after I posted my post I just noticed yours. You can get replacement foils. I've not encountered any issues with mine. I also had them on a previous bike without any issues.

However, now I've said that .... :)

Enduro engineering. They're also KTM OEM equipment so available from dealers. Cheap and good.
