For sale: Suzuki DR BIG 750

Post by nug800 »

Regretfully i have decided to sell my DR BIG 750. I have already put it on ebay and totally forgot that I could have just put it on here first! I haven't been on here for some time and it slipped my mind like many things these days!

I won't go into detail here as I will refer you to the ebay listing. The thumbnail unfortunately does not show up due to a problem which ebay can't resolve..... :x Its probably not getting the attention it would otherwise have, who knows? At least with a direct link it is not an issue.

Can't really add much to what is in the listing other than to say it has been an awesome bike, and given me many great trips without issue. The mods I have done just made it even better for the riding I do. If things where different I would be keeping it but funds are needed elsewhere to keep other projects moving.

Feel free to message me on here with any questions.

Cheers.

That looks to be a good, well cared-for bike....love these older big trail bikes. GLWS.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I have a thing for big old trailies as well. The DR is an underrated bike I think. That said, you have to be a lover of singles.
They have a unique character which is hard not to like. They really are incredibly robust and reliable and only have issues due to people not looking after them or repairing things properly. They are old bikes at the end of the day. That's not an excuse for poor maintenance though. I have been told I am mad for using such an old bike to travel on. The only issues I have ever had are a broken clutch cable and a faulty CDI. All fixed on the spot with spares carried on the bike. I don't think anybody could argue that a 30 year old CDI has not been pretty good to last that long. I would happily jump on it and ride anywhere on the planet which I certainly would not be confident to do on a modern bike with all the ECU's and other stuff that could leave you stranded.

You can probably tell that I am very reluctant to sell the old girl
