Old girl is 50 today
Just turned 50000 miles today, been a great bike. Just back from the Wild Atlantic Way, Numerous trips to Europe, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece and all over the Balkans. Morocco a couple of times. Comfortable to sit on all day, easy on tyres/chains etc, 80 mpg and 8k service intervals. took it all in its stride. Cost £4750 as a low mileage demo 6 years ago. Cheap biking, well done Honda.
Re: Old girl is 50 today
difficult to call it a great bike, just got back from morocco on mine and I refer to it as a "adequate at everything bike" great value for money and very practical considering the storage, mpg etc. seat could be better for long distance though
Re: Old girl is 50 today
Isn't that what bikes used to be?
Cheap transport for youths who couldn't afford a car?
I know bikes have always had something of an excitement factor about them but there's a place for economical easy to live with bikes and the world would be boring if we were all the same

if you want one for a commuter/occasional tourer then you won"t be disappointed, they are a good all round bike, very relaxed ride and econominal.configure any luggage to not go on the rear seat as the fuel filler is under there.this can be replaced with a rack with a fuel cap cut out but only seen them available in the states....group buy anyone?
Re: Old girl is 50 today
I was thinking the same....is it one of those 700cc Honda twist and go half a Jazz engined things?
I had a ride on one once, fair play to you for Sticking it out for 50K.
