This is my 3rd attempt at doing a bloody TET run :o the 1st two ended with a broken frame and then a blown clutch !!!

So booking this run i crossed my fingers for a 3rd time lucky event !!!

Bob AKA Diggermanbob and Steve AKA Chunky butt arrived here on Friday night with 2 TTR 250s a EXC 400 and a GasGas trials bike in a trany van ....................the exc was brought down here for me from Boboneleg ......many thanks and DMB brought his gas gas down for a play

Anyway Saturday arrived and it FECKIN RAINED !!!!!! typical its not rained here for over 10 weeks  its wasn't to bad so we saddled up and set of towards Decazeville to pick up the TET

Took it easy on the black stuff with being a tad damp :? stopped at Rocamadour for a piccy

We did the rest of the road with no problems just boring road stuff  grabbed a coffee at Mc Meard

Arrived at start point and filled up again and happy to say i was getting 20 + km/l so looking at a good 250km range

Yeeee Harrrr the trail was great from the start , forest lane to start with then lovely rocky climb to the top of a plateau

Image20180825_122241 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Here we rolled on big open trails ......away from the rain 8-)

Image20180825_122736 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Have to admit there was quite a lot of road work after this , nice winding back lanes , probably needs a tad more routing as theres NOTHING and NOBODY out there !!!

It was interspurced with shot sections of good stuff .........

Image20180825_135258 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

about 200m long and cut us to ribbons  and barbed wired off at the end !!! you guessed it ...............we had to back track

We eventually saw what i call the Toulouse plains ...............real flat area up to the Pyrennes

But still had the odd suprise waiting for us...................just not enough gas in the TTR Bob :D

The boys wanted a bed bar and shower so i found them this place €30 each with grub and live music

Day 2 and the trail started right opposite the Auberge behind the cross

And what a suprise , a crazy set of rock steps !!! a proper wake up call , didn't get a piccy as you couldn't stop !!

Again there was a fair bit of road work , not bad and plenty to see but would rather been on trails

But eventually the trails started again , i do think there would be trails in the road sections they just need finding

Hard to see here but nice steep up and down forest trails
