GS Rider new to this Forum

Post by GSDave1200 »

Dave (& Val) here from Plymouth, Devon...

Have a BMWR1200ADV Tripple Black (17) only 7k miles on it so far - picked it up second hand with 5600 miles in April but I'm just back on a bike after a four year break due to illness - now with new hips I'm back on it..

My last bike was the R1150GS sold it with 130,000 miles on it when I could not ride anymore due to the pain. Before that was the R850GS sold with 85000 miles showing, also had a 650 Fundro just for fun - before live with BMW was the normal Honda's from my first SS50, 185, 200,250,400 back in the 70/80s to 50cc step through run arounds.

Normally two up that is where Val comes in - used to be a every day rider but now have a Smart Car for the bad days (that is bad as in too painful to ride).

Welcome to my world today - GSClubUK, UKGSers, RBLR

Welcome on board Dave. With so many miles under your belt, I'm sure you'll have many great stories to tell. Looking forward to hearing a few old ones and many more new ones. Ride safe.
