Motorcycle collection service?

Post by Jak* »

Hi, being able to find anything suitable locally I am looking at buying a TTR from Devon. Does anyone know of a motorcycle collection service they could recommend or is anyone coming up from Devon to Derbyshire by van this week?
Cheers Jak

No and no, but if push came to shove you could ride it back up: the A38 would take you most of the way without going on the motorway. Be an OK trip in nice weather.

I've ridden a DR350S, with luggage, from Peterborough to West Devon in one hit (apart from fuel stops). It was raining and I was going into a headwind. That poor little bike did 35 mpg....about double its normal fuel consumption.

I used Motorcycle Delivery UK in Goldthorpe to bring the Serow I bought from Dorset to Lancs £200, but get a few quotes as I got 3 & they ranged from £150-£300.
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***

I think these guys are in that line

http://www.sos-motorcycle-recovery.co.uk/

national service according to the website, I've not used them so can't recommend them but I see their vans around, might be worth a call if you're not sorted already

Cheers

These guys were very familiar with my DR650....

I've always used shiply, its a random courier service but has always been fast, reliable and extremely cheap.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Suzuki DR200 Djebel.
