Hi Gary

I think the ferry is about £100 return (assuming Hollyhed - Dublin)

Dublin port to Rally Site about 100 miles each way

The main road only ride out on Saturday is about 200 miles

Camping fees £5 per night

Beer tokens ???

There is a dedicated wash/drying room and also a small cottage with a large open fire

Hope that helps

Hi Heff
Spent most of this afternoon on the internet trying to find a ferry crossing which fits in to my time scale with no joy so it looks like i will be a no show
this year.

Can you put me down as coming to the meet please.

I will be leaving Warwickshire Thursday morning and catching the midday ferry to Dublin from Hollyhead. The current plan is to watch the NW200 Thursday evening races before heading to the meet Friday.

Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing what Northern Ireland has to offer.

Miguel

Hi Miguel.

Welcome aboard.

I have added you to the list in Post 1

You may already have a route planned to the NW200,

Can I suggest that you head for Belfast from Dublin. Cover a few motorway miles (not forgetting you will need €1 euro for the toll) until you get to Newry, take a detour through the Mourne Mountains. From there, cross country to Belfast, then head for Carrickfergus. From there follow the Coast Road Scenic Route. (I remember seeing it somewhere as being voted into the Top 10 biking roads in the UK) Take the detour off for Torr Head, which will eventually bring you back unto the Coast Road keep the water on your right and follow the road as far as you need to Portrush/Portstewart.

See you Friday night
And don't forget to stop in Ballycastle for ice cream on the waterfront.! Torr Head is amazing.
Bally castle & Torr head is saved on Google maps. I need to sit down and plan a route that means we will get to see the sights as well as watch the races Thursday night.

Keep the reccomendations coming though as we have all day Friday to explore!

Heff do you have a GPX files of where you are planning to go Saturday?

I will make sure we explore other places on the Friday and the trip back home.
