Surprised to see piles of snow still a week later, especially when we only had it for one day

I've not ridden off road since October and I needed to test my luggage to I headed out for a day on the plain.
Had a lovely back road ride on the way there
Got there and it's as wet as an otters pocket. An hour of sliding around on an overloaded bike on stock tyres and I was done in.
Got home and decided to test if I could pick her up fully packed.
It's possible but a bit of a struggle!
Cracking day non the less and my luggage and gear worked well. I need to transfer some of the weight lower down.
