Guys, I've obviously heard of this event, but I don't know much about it.....can you convince me using photos and stories why I should do this sometime? :)

cheers

Plenty of ride reports on here and UKGSer .... Just use the search facility.
Also youtube had lots of vids.

I get that, but I was hoping people would respond directly, rather than me looking - which I have been doing BTW.

Links to peoples reports would be helpful, but I think what I'm looking for are snippets of insight as to why it should be done. If it should just be done, then I get that as well. It shall be done..

cheers

Being an anti social bar steward I go the week after, less queues. Yes that is a bloomin car at the top & likely someone taking their dog for a walk! It's long, rather than hard, fantastic views though ;)

The point of my post was to point you in the direction of some of the most comprehensive and informative ride reports there are. For me the Stella Rally is just a small part of what is available to ride in that area and if you limit your reading to individual ride reports then you could miss out on other trails just around the corner.

I'm not doing the Stella. But am leaving for the LC8 western alps rally on Thursday 29th June. Meeting up with LC8 type people and riding the mountains off road around the Stella. Leaving on the Thursday before due to holiday issues. Most will be staying and doing the whole week and Stella.
Facebook the LC8 rally.
Enjoy the pics.
Frog has done it twice BTW
