ccm woes update thread

Post by Tramp »

Okay got the head off today and 4 bent valves....piston is fine.

So its off to a mate on ccm forum for new valves and seals also got new camchain to go in and a manual adjuster as looks like the gods in france caused the camchain adjuster to go and hence the kiss it goodbye lockup  ...

Its rare for this to happen apparently on ccm but hey im kinda special :D :o ....

no point bending just one valve  is the big bore kit much more expensive than rebuilding your own cylinder head? might be worth checking

Hope you're taking the barrel off to check the piston, sometimes the rings get trapped.

I once had a cam belt snap on a Rotax motor and amazingly the valves didn't hit, god knows how as it had a big bore high comp piston and big cam in it.

Right folks....the head has had 4 new valves and oil seals fitted by a mate and a exhaust stud removed...its winging its way bak to me...the piston is fine :D ...ive a new head gasket to fit just need to get 4 new copper compression washers for the head bolts...

Ow and a torque wrench too as im hamfisted
