Steve I would be happy to do any of the following......

Lap of the Baltic now you're talking ;)

TAT or TET

Spain and Portugal

HISS

Sweden and Norway fjords

Have been asked about Iceland again if you are interested

Happy to go east as well

have flap jack will travel

cheers Spud ;)

Right then, I'm making an executive decision on my own behalf and am now declaring that my two bike trips next year will be the second and third week of May and the second and third week of September! This is based on HISS events and having to accommodate a couple of 'laying about/reading' holidays with my other half.
I don't mind which HISS I go to and whichever I don't go to will be the dates for my other trip.
I've just had a quick play on MotoGoLoco, a lap of the Baltic looks like this:-

Do you prefer clockwise or levorotary?

Soz about the crappy quality of my screen photos
It's about three thousand and some miles, totally doable as a trip, not bothered with Russia, its too much like hard work and expense to get into/out of just to cross it off a list, might as well get a ferry Tallinn to Helsinki. My experience of Finland is tree. tree, tree, tree, tree, lake, tree, tree, lake, you get the picture, it might be different around the edge.

Instead of heading North on the M6 i would like to go via the south to the Cotwolds and than through Wales up to Heysham and spend a few days on it. Next will be to the HISS in September with the van and light bike after missing it this year due to shoulder problems.
And than of course holiday with Mrs. , probably a week Andalusia, combining a few cities - culture and sea - maybe Cordoba and something at the coast. This will be end of April beginning of May before it gets too hot.
If you want to pass through the Peak District en route to the West coast UK, theres a bed here if you need it.

That is also an option, I would love to come over. That would be May 29th then. We can have a look at your Baltic tour pics than ;)

I guess ABR Ireland for May weekend.

France looks likely around 26th May for 3 weeks. Back to same place, St Leon sur Vezere. More about this later.

Various long weekends camping covering the Wild Atlantic Way. A new section of motorway has opened so that Cork/Mitchelstown/Limerick/Galway/Tuam is mostly motorway [apart from about 40km between Mitchelstown and Limerick] and about 2 1/2 hours travel time leaving one not very far from Westport and the northern part of the Wild Atlantic Way.

There may be a change in work for me next year so things are up in the air at the mo.
However I did promise myself that next year regardless of what happens I will either go to the Pyrenees as I've never been or Austria and Slovenia. I've barely touched Austria in the past and Slovenia looks lovely so that would be good.
As well as a few short 2-3 day camping trips throughout the year in the UK.

Well at least it would be a quick way to go!

Meanwhile, if you came to the HISS in May we could set off together on the TET to the far west of Spain ...

Glad to read you feeling more optimistic about your shoulder Pascal. Meanwhile I heartily recommend Cordoba as a 'base' for the there cities, certainly Seville, which is horribly expensive but only a few minutes down the line on the AVE. In Cordona itself don't miss the Virana palace, an XVII C noble household pretty much 'as lived'. The Mosque speaks for itself, but if you go really early, i.e. before the morning mass, then a) you get in free (well you used to) and b) you can wander around all by yourselves without hoards of tourists and guides spoiling the atmosphere - one of the top lifetime experiences we had was doing just that when the organist came in before the service - there's a gross baroque cathedral built right in the model of the mosque, surreal! - and to warm up played Bach's Toccata and Fugue, effectively for us and a cleaning lady, amazing! :D

Either will be good for you Steve, but in May we'd get to hear your dulcet voice and see you sweet countenance all the sooner! :D

We're adding more trails in Catalonia but it's still largely what you've done before. Your GS would be fine for most but the Alp a better choice perhaps. But in Aragon we are in a totally different location for the last time you were there - no f***ing dawn chorus for one thing! - and although the new venue is at the centre of a large region with very technical trails all of the old one, suitable for bigger bikes rather than the toddlers, are also available. There are 1,400 kms of HISS trails and about the 1,000 kms of amazing road rides that you can use to mix and match with the trails.

Over to you chuck.

We are just in the first stage of planning a couple of weeks touring around Austria. Went a few months back and totally fell in love with the country so off there again but to use as a base as we plan to ride into Italy and spend a few nights around the lakes, can't wait!

Cheers

If you're looking for accommodation in Austria I would recommend "Ali in Austria" on this forum.I based myself there for 6 nights a couple of years ago.Not far from Grossglockner. The view from my room. :)
