Car service

Post by wispyone »

Any car mechanics in the pub tonight ?

Took my car in for a service today , and on getting back home this evening checked under the bonnet.....as you do.

Problem is, it looks like my battery has sh1t itself. Is this normal with servicing now? It appears to have been sprayed with something.

Not uncommon to spray the terminal with a bit of dielectric grease, but never seen it look like that. Looks more like Copper grease

As an engine diagnostic guy, I prefer to see electrics kept clean and dry.
Spraying with shit/grease attracts more shit and does nothing to protect or improve the efficiency of the conection.
It also pisses me off when it gets on my tools and clothes.
