OK, trip in September for 10 days down to italy and back ish. I'm back on a KTM seat (the ergo gel one this time)
It's still crippling after 100 odd miles which is no good for a euro trip.
I'm thinking the SC tall seat for value for money.
I'm considering the Airhawk for convenience and guaranteed delivery before we leave.
Any reviews on both ?
Any for sale ?
Thanks. BP
Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
Re: Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
I can never get on with Airhawks, I just don't like the slightly disconnected arse/bike sensation.
Seat Concepts......the one on my 450exc is fantastic.
Have you considered Monkey Butt powder or cream? Or Moto Skiveez padded underpants? I've tried both and I reckon both help.

Re: Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
Probably of no help but back in 2005 I did an 8 week trip around Europe and when I got to Barcelona I needed to get back quick and did 1,100miles back home in one stint.
Being on the bike for those previous weeks obviously helped.

Re: Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
Airhawks are great, had one on my Explorer for the last 14k miles. Just have to get the volume of air right...
Re: Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
Another thumbs up for air hawk....used mine last month for a trip to Corsica and no numb bum. They do feel a little weird at first but didn't take me long to get used to it.
As has already been mentioned the trick is to put only a little air in.

Airhawk (thumbs)
Just been to North Wales and back. 140 miles 3 1/2 hour run in one go each way no problem. Made long days in the seat bearable. I had bought a Corbin but sold it as the Airhawk was much better

Re: Seat Concepts or Airhawk ?
No idea on Seat Concepts in action, but I know which is cheaper...
My Airhawk was bought in 2006 and is still going strong, albeit the cover has been repaired a couple of times. I have used it on 4-5 different bikes, covering at least 40K+ miles I expect.
As others have said, you need practically no air in it which seems counter intuitive, but works!!
