WANTED - Ktm 690 enduro

Its just not good enough to be classed as an enduro bike.

The KTM nomenclature for this bike confuses people. All KTM enduro bikes are EXC. The 690 Enduro is in the road bike range and is of an "Enduro"style.

I think 690 Trail would be a more apt name.

I'm no riding god but got on ok on a Desert Rose training day earlier this year.
Ok, you wouldn't race it against dinky 2t's but it's certainly capable enough but I agree that Trail would be a better description.

Not sure why it is thought it's ugly - looks fine to my ageing eyes and just as good as an EXC.
And a damn sight more practical for off roading than a lumpy GS.
It got me round tricksy lanes in Wales ok in May and there is no way a big adventure bike woulld get round other than in the hands of an expert.

I actually think for example in my native Thetford Forest a heavier bike is better. It's not a place for 2 strokes.

The 690 is a terrible bike. Its just not good enough to be classed as an enduro bike. It looks rubbish and is only suited to small people.

You may find Mike is what's known as an 'internet troll' Certainly big enough to be one if he thinks a 690 is for small people. Isn't it a 950mm saddle height?
