Having designed the course (never ridden myself !) to give you a bit of a challenge with the almost vertical drops, you just blew me away when you decided to then ride up them.

The outfits were brilliant - very pleased to have you all and hopefully we can do it again next year plus those who couldn't make it this time.

Thanks to Stewie, Gav and Phil for the routes Monster for the barbi effort, Tea for the t-shirts, Stewie again for the photographic record (brilliant) all of you for clearing up and support over the weekend.

Brilliant crew
Bob, can't thank you enough really, its been said by the crew already, but the hospitality was outstanding !! A big well done to Stewie and the GavPhilly boys, plus 'Royal' Tunbridge Wells for letting us entertain them :pinch: :pinch:

All I can say is, thank god I didn't go out for a trail ride that day. :)
Now know why Stewie was asking for info on the TRF forum.
Did you go across Pevensey Marsh?
Anyone fall in?

We only did a few on the Marsh, was bloomin slippy, add to that a biblical rain storm  slight 'bo bo' the final route had us running down Red Gate lane, but loaded up the original route, so we ended up going up it

The Lite Bites cafe was good, really friendly, clean and good price. (thumbs)

A brilliant weekend--started for me on Thursday evening with Bob giving me a TOUR of Ashdown forest in his Saab 9000 convertible, then fish and chips and a few glasses. Friday morning I helped a bit with the course pegging out -and then "they" started arriving. (thumbs) A brilliant course with options, streams, muddy climbs and open fields. Bob put so much work into all the facilities and course--and food and drink. Trails on Saturday were good--but I had a little off--the Kawa crashes well--just a sprained thumb for me. It was laughter all the way on the campsite--brilliant group of the "usual suspects"--and Uncle Buck cooked, supplied more beer, shelter and so on with his magic camper. :P

Lite Bites is one of our starting points, as is Freestyles.
Lunch was Wessons in Horam but it is very small and can be slow when busy although food always good. We now go to the Lakeside cafe just on the south side of the village. Great food plus indoor and outdoor eating.
Due to an excess of age and a total lack of ability, I have always passed Redgate by as it was forever a struggle with no mental reward for me.
I would probably be ok if I didn't know about the rock step.
I'll try and find one of our groups' dive into the Marsh dyke from a few weeks ago.
EDIT I've given up on FB as it keeps reloading on me.
