B&B / guesthouse Lake Constance

Post by newm_p »

Anyone got a recommendation?
We've got a 2 night space in our planned trip to Austria & thought the area looked worth staying in.
We'll be travelling back from Malta (Austria) if anyone has an alternative stopping off point.
Thanks in advance.

Stayed in a place in Romanshorn a few years back years back, can't remember the actual b&b but the village was fantastic right on the lake side.

I passed through in 2015, stayed in Fussen about an hour from Bregenz, it is the town where they filmed scenes for the great escape - including Steve McQueen's bike escape...
Stayed in an apartment I found on booking.com that was owned by a biker, pure luck. Details here https://faroffplaces.net/2015/04/23/day ... and-aware/
Went to Bregenz the day after, and on to Verzasca Dam in Southern Switzerland. https://faroffplaces.net/2015/04/24/day ... za-cavour/
I guess you will be going the other way around. Either way, hope you have fun

We did that a couple years back, it was horrendous, Lindau was nice but not nice to get to.

Another vote for Fussen. A bloody whopping great vote for,in fact.Lots of accommodation. Just used booking.com the day before (June)
One of the most gorgeous areas I have visited. Proper idyllic.

Came through today and as usual the traffic was horrible, there are much better areas to make for and less full of cycling and camping Germans. Ali's is good, pension haus maria.
