Wtd: big tourer

Post by Mike54 »

with good wind protection so things like st1300, fjr1300. scruffier the better, its for a commuter which will be parked in london frequently so cosmetics are unimportant. budget 3k. needs to work for a tall guy so no v strom, no bandit etc, must be comfortable on mway. older rt would also be ok but bear budget in mind. not a gs - too good a resale once stolen, even on cheap older ones

K RT/LT are cheap and fairly robust.

I reckon a Fazer1000 would be perfect Mike......3K gets you a nice one.
Decent weather protection with that top fairing, not too wide for filtering.......goes like shit off a shovel.

You'll keep ahead of the weather with that R1 engine, plus you know what you're like....you'd be bored to death on a Pan or an RT.
The Fazers are proper fast, nible for London traffic and with decent riding kit and the top half faring you'll be well weather protected.
