Well on the 21st of the month I'm taking the crf1000 to Portugal for 9 days trail riding with the adventure bike warehouse ( skygod/ gaz).
My plan if I survie the gaz games intact is once back near Santander I'll leaving the team and heading on a little ride along theses lines
Santander to Malaga (meeting a mate so stop for a week ).
Malaga to Andorra
Then just basically following my nose into
France
Italy
Greece
Bulgaria (stopping a few weeks here)
Then heading towards home
Hopefully doing the transalpina
And maybe the stelviio on the way back up.
I realise this is a big trip and probably should of been planned way in advance but I'm not a planner.
I'm hoping to camp/wild camp as much as possible to keep costs down and I may have to fly home a few times for work but other than that no real time scale.
So can anyone recommend any must see roads/tracks?
Any advice on leaving bike's at airports abroad?
Route suggestions.

No I can't but sounds like an epic trip. Have a great time and post lots of photos when you get back.
The only thing I can say that while in France try and ride the Route Napoleon as its a great road and the Stelvio Pass although a bucket list road isn't actually a great riding road.
Enjoy!

As for airpirt parking, id put a post on adv europe or hubb when you need storage as lots of nice folks will garage it for you and do a airport drop off etc.. (thumbs)
Think portugal has had some rain recently so maybe muddy :woohoo:

Re: Route suggestions.
why would you go back to santander from portugal only to ride to malaga? Surely split off when in Portugal?
What you're planning has epic mileage, you could go down italy and get the ferry across to greece to make life easier but i have to say some planning might be an idea

Re: Route suggestions.
If you must go from Santander to Malaga the direct route is probably via Madrid and Granada, or Salamanca, Zafra and Seville, the latter is probably what I'd ride if I was heading to faro. However a more scenic route I'd choose would be Zaragoza, Teruel and down the N330 towards Murcia, the N330 is on the best biking roads website, and takes you over the hills and through some very picturesque villages
