Santander Docks

Post by gbags »

Afternoon all,

I've left the hotel in Santander and have six hours till the ferry boards.

The weather looks like this:

So, I've gone three miles out to a shopping centre to get out of the rain.

Can anyone tell me what time they let bikes into the docks and is there a place to get in out of the rain and get food and coffee, within the docks?

Thanks,

Gangs, feeling like Noah

No idea about the times but there is indeed a cafe and a shop right by the car park where you queue up to get on the ferry.

I believe they normally let you in and sit in the car parking lanes , good little cafe on site as Norty said (thumbs)

You will be lucky, the cafe was mobbed last time we were there last autumn and it was peeing down - no room and it's tiny

Ferry delayed by 4 hours and in the end, after 3 hours in the rain in the open car lanes - they put all the bikers in an empty grain warehouse for shelter

Wet through............ was an understatement

It was a fecking shambles

I plugged MacD's into the Zumo. 5 Km up the road.
Chairs and tables, coffee, books.

We always go in as soon as we can then leave the quay via a pedestrian entrance and go in to town.

I've done this. Worked just fine. I was the several hours early.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
