Wanted XJ900 Divi
Wanted XJ900 Divi
As above for a mate returning to biking and he is powered by a fair bit of nostalgia. Prefer a good late one with luggage but realise we may have to restore/farkle a bit.
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

Re: Wanted XJ900 Divi
This brings back some memories - I used to dreaammmm of owning a 900!
I had a Yammy Diversion 600N
It was such a mongrel - I had a cheap 4 into 1 exhaust on it - a replaced seat of unknown origin - the heated grips on each side didn't match, it was the ugliest bike ever.
Christ - the tyres didn't even match half the time
But - I was living in Hull, and going to University in Huddersfield, I was fresh out the Army, didn't mind the wind and rain, and that thing thundered me up and down the M62 day after day, season after season.
Looking after the chain was a nuisance really - and so I dreamed of having a shaft drive!
The only time it was a total disaster was when I was taking a 5,000 word paper in to be marked. I'd put it in my soft cheapo oxford pannier - forgetting I had a new exhaust... :pinch:
Off I went....
By the time I'd got to Wakefield - I saw something in my mirror.... And to my horror - my 5,000 words on "Airway Management in Laparoscopic Surgery" (never made the best sellers list) was fluttering about in the breeze, like a massive swirl of anaesthetic confetti :woohoo:
Happy Days!

Re: Wanted XJ900 Divi
I saw one in a dealers at Fromes Hill on the Hereford to Worcester road a few days ago.
From memory, I think it was fitted with Givi racks, but I didn't see any cases with it ...
... and I have just found it on e-bay, no 332097764856

He's often at Newark autojumble, sells parts and accessories for them as well. The bikes he sells are immaculate and not overpriced for what he's asking for them.James_Death wrote:I think there is a bloke who actually strips these down to spruce them up then sells them on fleabay from time to time.
