Recommend a S7 phone case for on bike use.
After trying to use the outdated garmin map60scx to navigate to St James park hotel last night to visit the brother in law, I really need to get something a lot more suitable. I have a S7 phone which is great using Google maps in the car so I thought I'd use that on the bike too, but I'd like a quality case and mounting system. What have others used? Plenty out there but like a lot of phone related accessories, many are cheap Chinese crap..?...

I used a Tigra Sport case on the Tenere with a S5, and now I've upgraded to an S7 I'll be doing the same again with a new Tigra case for the S7 and the old mount...

Have a look at quad lock.
I don't have one, but have thought about them.
Any good rugged case like a tech21 could then be used, just stick the quad lock adapter on the case and have the other bit on the bars of the bike. Means you don't have to have a big horrid bike case on your phone, because lets face it as soon as you are off the bike those things are cumbersome.

Re: Recommend a S7 phone case for on bike use.
i was looking on ebay and found one which looks good.....and it uses the Tigra case too but has a crossbar mount so it will fit on the xt660z gps mounting bar. i like it high up and most cases seem to be bar mounted (no room) or mirrir mounted (muffs fitted) so it looks the best option ive seen so far. how easy is it to pop out the phone when you get to your destination?Dabchick wrote:I used a Tigra Sport case on the Tenere with a S5, and now I've upgraded to an S7 I'll be doing the same again with a new Tigra case for the S7 and the old mount...
