Brake Calipers

Post by TimL »

Dear All,
My Terra Adventure has done great work but the brake callipers are failing. I have managed to get a replacement front one but the rear eludes me.
Does any one know here these can be obtained or if just the calliper cylinder can be obtained as it must be used on similar bikes.
Any assistance would be greatly received as the bike is not long for the road without a back brake.

also when you say "failing", what do you mean? do the seals need replacing etc? it's unlikely you'll need new calipers as such

The seals are knackered and the piston is in a state (all corroded).

Why not just replace the seals and rub up the lips of the pistons? They can't be corroded behind the seals surely?
