Something that is of the correct size is always a good start.

I guess it depends on what the off-road consists of. If it's a dry track, something like the Michelin Sirac would be good as they are great on-road. They do struggle when the ground becomes wet though.
Current bike is a Yamaha T7

K60 scout is all you will ever need.

for road use? stick with the stock tyres. They're good enough,
but if you wanna look better, get tkc80. Don't ride too fast in rain though.

Morn'in... :)

You say mainly road which suggests the odd excursion off road here and there?

What works for me....I'm on my fifth set of Mitas EO7's..... 140x80 on the rear and standard on the front....I ride mixed but mostly on dry hard pack.

The reason I'm still on these tyres is that they're cheap,I get lots of kms out of them, they're hard wearing on hardpack/rock and they're really good in both dry and wet fast riding on the twisties here..really good; they just don't look like they should be :)

They can just about cope with some damp ground.

(As an aside, on two separate trips to Morocco, with two other riders on a TTR600 and an XTZ660 and following the same hard pack trails ,their K60 Scouts came back quite cut up whereas the E07's were unscathed...hence my return to this tyre each time I need a change ..one of the riders returned the next year and replaced with E07's )

Just my two cents...

All the best

:)

I have always used Mitas E07's on my Tenere. I have found that I get two rears to every front. For about £100 a pair you cant go wrong.

They aren't the greatest in the sloppy stuff but will get you through.
