You do know there's a restrictor plug under the clutch lever on the KLX, don't you?

Re: Your most disappointing bikes.
Hi All
Don't shoot me but for me it was and old Super Tenere
Don't ask me why!
The engine pulled like train, the gearbox was slick, it was super comfy, looked great but try as I might I hated it.
Stuck with it for a year but thats life
Have the old AT now and its a whole different ball game
Cheers for the thread

BMW R1150RT, bloody hated it, gutless for touring and the gearing was simply horrid. So glad I only kept it about six months then traded it in.
Thumbs down!

Triumph Explorer -
Bought on sight without even test riding after popping in the dealer's for a brew when passing not long after their launch.
It was a good bike, but having had a fair few triumphs in the past which i really liked, this one and I just never ever bonded.
Swapped for a 12GSA after 12 months

2008 KTM690E!
Must replace seat, must send off suspension, must replace deadly(silencer), must find a dealer to remap it, worst turning radius in D/S motorcycles. Plastic oil pump gears shreaded, needed engine rebuild and replace most of the top end. Expanding fuel capacity is a headache. Came with Mt21 tires , my least favorite rear.
And I thought the bike felt heavier than it was!!!!
And the bike was pricey to start with, man do I feel dumb.
But after over 8,000 miles, I got good money out of it!
There was also this Husky 450 Desert Master from back in the 70's,
that's another story!!!

Re: Your most disappointing bikes.
Kawasaki Versys 650..Lots of people rave about them but I bought mine new and kept it all of 4 months. I did 3k miles on it and it had to go. The vibrations were terrible and the seat was the most uncomfortable thing ive ever sat on. I did a tour around Scotland on it and I had to physically get off the bike every 30 miles because I was in pain. I traded it in for the 1000 and it was a completely different bike. I hear the new Versys 650 has been well sorted though.
Honda NC700. Took one out for a test ride to maybe use it as a commuter. What a piece of white goods. By far the worst motorcycle I have ever ridden.
But again it's all subjective, a lot of people on here like them.

My Wife said the same when she was a new rider looking for a first bike. She took one up the road from the dealer and pronounced it was like riding a sewing machine and had no soul. I tried it and it was hard to argue.waynecoluk wrote: Honda NC700. Took one out for a test ride to maybe use it as a commuter. What a piece of white goods.
