Apaart from Paolo Ceci there is pretty much no one about who would want to race one of these in the desert. Total BS.

Well, Dakar bikes these days are close to 200kg wet but before 450cc limit they were even heavier so pretty much similar as new AT. Plenty of riders took them to the desert.
