Sounds like a bargain to me if it turns out to be anything like the concept bike.minkyhead wrote:6995

I was exaggerating the point to emphasise my point that they will sell buckets loads.....and no they won't sell them in buckets either :dry:Mike54 wrote:
There is simply not the market to "sell millions"
As for the £6995
Re: Yamaha T7
P.S. Note to Yamaha...plz keep the name, "T7" is a refreshingly simple break from all that WRXFZR700R-1 malarky..

Re: Yamaha T7
If you compare the T7 to the spy shots of the XT700 you will see that the XT is very far down the road in terms of development and even has the Yamaha plastic pannier rails fitted.
As to which one will hit the street, that is anyones guess.

Re: Yamaha T7
That second pic is probably closer to what will be sold...more's the pity, but a twin disc, faux off road, tourer, just slightly lighter than an Africa Tank is not what I am after, I wont be laying out dosh for that.

Re: Yamaha T7
Well....spoke to my Yamaha dealer today (here in Belgium). He says the T7 will be there even this year after the summer. And it seems...seems...it will not be a soft allroader but more an extreme sort of rallye raid bike. Let's hope he is right, and I must say I trust what he is saying because he is also an offroad rider and the biggest Yam dealer here in B. Fingers crossed...
Re: Yamaha T7
IMO extremely unlikely using the MT07 motor, it has a very deep wet sump hidden behind the odd black lower fairing thingy. if you look at side on pics you'd destroy the motor on the first rock step you tried to go over. If however they just had a massive engine guard then the ground clearance will be very compromised.
Hope they do bring a bike out based on the concept bike as a general direction, but with a proper motor designed for the job.
Again the KTM790 has to be in pole position atm for a proper lighter adv bike.
