Whoo got to tell my story. 2008 when I passed my motorcycle test I was lucky enough to be able to buy 2 brand new motorbikes. KTM 450 excr and a 990 Adventure. When I said "because I've bought 2 bikes can you do me a deal on the rst jacket" which was £85. His reply was " I'll knock you a fiver Off" I burst out laughing but soon realised it was only me laughing. Customer service mmmm

Businesses exist to make money shocker. Well I never.

Wind your necks in, if the business don't make money, there is no business for you to buy from, simple as that. UK pricing is keen as it is, stop moaning about bloody discount.

Really

I make a point of asking for discount or haggling

It's rude not to (thumbs)

Behave! I'm in the market for a new suit, been quoted £948, £900, £800 and £788 for the same suit, same year, colour everything...all UK stores with showrooms etc.

If vendors can't agree on a pricing strategy I'm asking for a discount!

So do i..... Its all part of the game.
A sellers goal is to make as much profit as they think they can get away with.... my job as a buyer is to reduce that profit and haggle for what i think is a good deal.

I haggle for everything.

To be honest if he refused me the hat because I got a discount I`d have walked without the lid.
