DRZ Stator

Post by Thedktor »

I need a stator for a DRZ.....

I guess its unlikely anyone would have one, so a Suzuki one is £360, which is more than I have

There are a few aftermarket ones for about half that eg

Anyone any experience? It would be false economy if a cheaper one packs up after a year...

I have two DRZ engines running after market stators one of which was from China, on examination it was identical to the Suzuki item. after 2 years I have had no problems.

After a quick check on ebay I came up with this:

Seems to be a legit business...why not phone them and ask what the warranty is?

I've rewound one myself, had a rewind done by a company and used aftermarket, all of them worked fine and carried on working.

Edit, A variety of old bikes but not DRZ

Greetings,

I too have had a stator rewound by west country windings, good job, fast turn around and reasonable cost.

Recommended.

Thanks all, so some options to consider....

I had considered West Country Windings, perhaps the wrong time of year to get it back very quickly!

bond_yzf have sent you a pm.
