Another Garelli Tiger Cross here, the fastest on the road and the fastest to fall apart!
Mine had a habit of the air filter ( which was a screw on cylinderical device) unscrewing and bouncing down the road like a scene from the "dam busters"

I had a FSIE from the moment I turned 16, but got fed up fixing it as it had had a very hard life!
Sold it for a newer restricted TS50ER, but got fed up with going so slow!
Sold it and got a tidy AP50 - crackin bike. Extra gear and about 5mph faster than the fizzy.
Ah, the joy of powered transport at 16 B)

My first steed was an NSU Quickly 2-speed with a twistgrip gearchange. That siezed up on me (I had to push it 3 miles home), then a family friend donated another NSU Quickly. This one was a newer 3-speed that bought me an extra 5MPH (well, according to the wildly fluctuating speedo!).
Both has 6v magneto electrics where the (so-called) headlamp brightness would vary according to the engine revs and was just a glow at tickover!
They increased my freedom 100-fold over my Claude Butler racing bicycle!
I was a happy bunny until the Jap mopeds arrived. Then I felt like a second class citizen.

Honda SS50
Whilst fairly cackhanded 16 year old proof, was so slow the only time I go past any other moped of the day was when they stopped for fuel and I sailed by on my 200 mpg + beast!
