Is there one bike that you've always wanted but never had?

Anything goes, and mine's a Guinness.

They're surprisingly cheap to buy. I know a couple of guys who've bought them and spent ages sourcing all the factory parts that went into the race version. One of them picked up a replica at the Manx this year so he obviously did a decent job of sorting it out (thumbs)

I think from what they've said you can find a scruffy runner with a valid mot certificate for about a grand and 2 grand will get a very tidy one.

I'd like a mid range BMW horizontally opposed shaft drive. About 800cc but new, not something that was new 30 years ago.

There was one for sale near me last year for about £1400 but I wanted to ride the Route Napoleon.Maybe one year I'll be able to afford both! :)

For various reasons....

DT 400 - because I only had a DT 175 at the time, and saw a bloke do a massive wheely on a 400 so instantly smitten, and still am!
Norton Commando - because my mates uncle had one, and he was the coolest bloke alive, so thought I could be just like him if I had one - despite being a spotty 14 year old
RD 500 - because I had a quick go on a mates, and was still shaking days later
Maico 490 - because I was stupid!
Bultaco 350 - because Martin Lampkin had one, and bought one recently, but it's a pig of a thing so be careful!
