We have friends who come out with us, they ride Hondas. We love having them and they love coming out with us. One of the days we met up for breakfast and a ride out I went outside to get a photo. Took some and then counted the bikes, all in a nice row. Except it was 2 short. A little search found 2 Hondas parked around the corner. There was a lot of wise cracks about Honda owners knowing their place!V2orV4 wrote:I'm getting worried Heff. Seems nearly everyone signing is on one of those BMW things! Are you sure I'll be allowed on the site on my Honda?
Steve
Anyway you are more than welcome to come over to our corner at the ABR. K100 owners are an odd bunch. Honda owners don't talk to us because we are on BMWs and they think we will ignore them. BMW owners don't talk to us either because they think those old bricks are rubbish.
I think they are jealous because they go anywhere.!

Hi Steve,
That was me in the hiviz. We were having fun at the sign taking photos and he was miffed how I got a photo of him paying homage to the great liquor. So he went for the Chinese coolie hat revenge trick.
It was a fun trip, not least because we met up at 1pm in Rosslare for lunch 2 days earlier to get the ferry to France. He showed me a photo of the rear engine seal on the K100, taken at 1am that same morning. Another one at 7am showed the bike parked outside with panniers and all the gear on. Then a 2 hour round trip to drop the kids off, then an hour's drive the other way from his house to the ferry. When we got to Cognac we just had to pay homage. About 3 hours before that photo we were in La Rochelle in monsoon rains.
Like a lot of strange photos there's always a good story behind them.
This one is closer to ABR home, Portaferry.....
