Sorry if it was confusing - I often use the 'tail end ' of a new email address, i.e. after the @, to check out the home page of whoever I'm mailing so as to find out a bit more about them. How did you get on with the brakes... only spent a couple of hours on one last year and found the front vague and the rear a bit harsh and "wooden".
I think the PDI has been a bit hit and miss on these as there always seems to be loose bits on the newer ones. Something WK need to address when they uncrate them I suppose.

4990 € for the basic version plus " registration and on the road costs.
5490 € with the aluminium panniers Adventure version, plus registration and on the road costs.
The WK 400 in the U.K. Seems far better value, including the cost for the CE document, shipping and registration in France.

yeh they were a bit wooden in feel - reminded me of cheap pads I bought a couple of years ago Kyoto rubbish never again. I was gonna change them, but ran out of time and then got used to them, and if anything they have improved a little with all the recent miles done on them. The bike free wheels nice around garage with no binding so be surprised if some good pads would not help alot here.

I only have experience of mine and Roy's bikes - Roy's was new and prepped by himself and no issues.Mine was taken almost 2000 miles offroad within 2 weeks of purchase (second hand) and had some niggles but easily solved - and if I had had the time like Roy did prepping mine I'm sure the niggles could have been found and sorted before leaving - it made the trip interesting :laugh:

Saw one of these WK 400 Trails's today, a company near me that sells quads is also a dealer for them.
Wow, really looks great in the flesh and seems a lot of bike for £2.5K, couldn't take it out on the road as it was brand new & unregistered. But i took it for a spin around the yard. Felt really comfortable, sounded great and as its physically quite large it fitted me like a glove. Proper dual sport physically sized bike.
I was that impressed with it, i even started thinking about whether i should buy one !.... Although the prejudice against Chinese bikes is deeply ingrained in me. Maybe wrongly now.
The guy said its the only one he'll have of this particular bike, as new ones will be out next year with ABS and possibly different emissions.
Maybe thats why a lot of people have been selling them for only £2.5K.
