Touring this week on the West coast of Scotland, which has been a great week albeit a bit windy. Whilst sitting in a café in Strontian I saw an unusual bike pull in. Turned out it was a CB500X Rally Raid. In fact the one that Chris Scott took to Morocco last year and then sold on. The new owner Ollie is delighted with it and the tubeless tyres are still holding pressure and have had a tubeless puncture repair into the bargain. I had a wee seat on it and was impressed, really like the tubeless spoked wheels.
CBX Rally Raid spotted today
Re: CBX Rally Raid spotted today
I've been looking at them for several months now but if you purchase a new or relatively new one and then spend another few thousand on rally raid parts it adds up to quite an amount.
Still quite fancy one though.

Re: CBX Rally Raid spotted today
There are a couple of good deals out there for the cb500x. I managed to pick one up for £2950. A 2014 plate with 4,000 miles on the clock, a tiny bit scruffy and needed new tyres, but everything rides well.
A couple of grand on top of that for the rally raid kit would get a fantastic bike for sub £5K...... that's pretty good value I reckon

Couldn't agree more, I bought this one 3 weeks ago.... well pleased and once I've bought a few parts from RR it will do all I need of it.
