Feck off and get on with it i hear you say :woohoo:
So here it is DMB (doggermanbob) contacted me several months ago about the RB 1 and 2
asking if he and his better half Viv could join us at Jax Shack.
Well any excuse for a play in the hills , the plan was Bob to have a night at ours and Viv stay with Jax drinking and talking girl stuff. In the meen time Steve (chunky but) call me asking if could join in !!!! yeh why not , so we were 3
I'll quickly add that Campanole had its fete the night before we left and i was in charge of burning food , so the first 50 kms for me didn't happen :S
I'd plumbed in all back roads down to Fos , this is the D12

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: realy :woohoo: :woohoo:

Bob was totally flabbergasted !!! "shit we can't be there yet"

It was the real D12 but only lasted for a few kms sadly, we carried on on very quiet back roads with the temp soring into the 40s , leaving the hills of the Lot into the plains

and vin yards

We arrived in Fos to find the municipal campsite closed down so back tracked to one we'd passed , €6.50 each (thumbs) but no food but we donned our little lost boys look and got beer, nut and olives (thumbs)
Up and off for 8am and 1st stopin Spain for a full breakie €9 , then of to find the start of the RB1

The higher we got the better the riding , still hot but bearable anyway there's piggin snow up there

I soon learnt to stop in the shade, Bob eating my dust
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
Following the "Black Arrows"

Re: 3 IN THE HILLS !!!!!
The RB didn't add up for a bit after we dropped out of the hills , i followed it as best as i could but lost it big time and ended up following a trail to nowhere
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
Bob kept a little tumble very quiet and never photoed it  here he is after the detour round the downed tree
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
We toyed with camping here untill a million flies attacked us § so be beat a quick retreat
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
From there i just made it up as i went along and popped out of the woods at a bbq/restaurant place i ran into on my solo trip a couple of years back , someone realy needs to teach the Spanish how to make a sarnie !!! come on !!! a lump of bread smeared with a tomato and a bit of ham
Camping in Espot and beer o'clock
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
Straight back on the RB out of camp , mad rocky climb to the ski station
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
Where we'd come from
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
And where we're going
RB 1x2 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr
