It's a shame you can't get a boat back from Norway

I've only been to Denmark once and that was in 1985 for a stag 'do'. We arrived in Esbjerg on a Saturday afternoon and everything was shut apart from McDonalds and the porn shops  . I remember it as being a slightly 'odd' place :S .

Yep it's pretty flat. The good news is that you can go the entire length of the country in a single gear, so saving wear on the clutch. An electric pushbike could probably do the distance on a single half hour charge. (thumbs)

I did sell a Guzzi Lemon 3 to a Danish friend. Should have kept the bike. Nice people though, very friendly and you won't have any language problems. (thumbs)

Apart from an off licence what more did you expect from Denmark?

If you're heading to Poland then look to the north. Gdansk is a really pretty city that was restored by the Russians after WWII, Malbork castle was once the biggest brick built building in the world and further east is the Masurian lake district. Don't worry about finding English speakers, most of the population has lived in Peterborough at some point. :)

Apart from a off-licence, a McDonald's and a porn shop what more would you need?
