I've just had my garage extended and I want to paint the concrete floor. Anyone done this, what's the best stuff to use, do I need to 'seal' it first, what's the best way to apply it?
Any info gratefully received, cheers, Bob.

Re: Concrete floor paint
I've used a couple of different "Garage Floor" paint in the past ... they've been OK, but I've not tried sealing the floor first .. i suspect this would have helped the longevity of the paint .... or maybe I was a bit mean and spread it a bit thinly . I reckon good old Unibond PVA would be fine as a sealant.
Re: Concrete floor paint
You can get some self levelling stuff,
basically just tip it out and it covers floor for you. have no idea if it is any good or not.
Bob do a quick search on here as not long ago somebody did a thread on this when they had work done on their garage.
Best tip though is start near door and work your way backwards into to garage

Re: Concrete floor paint
I painted my last garage (well, more of a lean-to attached to the house that I kept a bike in) with the Ronseal stuff - and it did exactly what is said on the tin, I didn't seal the floor, can't remember if it was one coat or two. The bonus was that it made it easy to mop.
I haven't bothered with my new garage, and 7 years in I haven't felt the need to mop it!

My Mrs painted my garage floor while I was away on a trip and the bike was out the way (thumbs)
She used this and really pleased with it:
