Hi i just got back yesterday from a week over there excellent roads Ring of beara was good which is just below Kerry ,and its a lot quieter around Westport /Newport area,Doonin (Riverside camping) was good and you get folk music in local bars. if you haven't got a sat nav Aldi had a Garmin Zumo of 150 euros. still kicking myself for not getting one.TAKE MIDGE REPELLANT just in case seems worse further north.

I too would recommend Achill Island.
Keel Sandybanks is a great campsite and make sure to checkout Keem beach, not that far from the campsite and worth a visit.
Nagle's caravan and camping in Doolin is a great campsite and its right next to the Cliffs of Mohar. well worth a visit if your that far up plus you could also take in the Father Ted sights if it's your thing (thumbs)
