Re: F**k it...I give up....!!!!
Thanks Morph for fixing the link!
MS, dont give up! My GF has just had 2 falls and a fail!
First fall on her CBT but didnt upset her to much.
The direct test Fail saw the end of it! But while she was traveling home I booked another test and told her the day before!
Second fall was in Central London doing a U turn following me on her 750 Monster and she still continued to France!
Then last year I pushed her to 460 miles in a day on the way to Italy and that was nearly the end of it!
But the more she rides the better it gets.
So dont give up + we like your reports!!
cheers Marc

Every one of here who rides trails has had that feeling at sometime.
Blame Alun for taking on that lane in the first place?
Blame tank for having too good a front brake
Blame the sun for shining today
BUT get back on and try again.

Forgot to mention....got my bike back....I know I've got to 'harden the F**k up!!!' But it hurt so much when I fell off!!!Steve T wrote:Do you deliver :whistle:Alun wrote:I've a XR125 for sale if anyone's interested ![]()
Alun, tell her to "man up", get back out there (something less hard when fallen on would be nice) and start smiling again.
If not, I'll pm you a delivery address

Maybe a muddy or sandy lane would give you a softer landing than 100 metres of rubble!

Hi Midnight, don't give up - I'm sure you would really regret that in the future.
Get Alun to buy you some body armour - Aline Star Stella is really good and is on offer at the moment:
http://www.dirtbikebitz.com/alpinestars ... -2218.html
Fantastic for protecting your shoulders, torso & elbows. Don't buy blokes / children's stuff though - it might be cheaper but it just doesn't fit properly.
Adventure Spec sell some really good articulated knee & shin protectors as well.
Hopefully if you are unlucky enough to come off again you are less likely to get hurt.
Keep smiling

Riding lanes is not always the best way to learn because you don't get the chance to try again until you get it right.
You should do an afternoon up at the farm or the railway, practicing the same things over and over again until its second nature. Starting with back brake only!
I can help you one day if you like.
Just don't give up!

Thank you Craig! Will take you up on that offer! It's funny, but just now Alun was talking about going up to the farm for a day's riding/practising. I'm going to go....else Tank becomes his FOREVER!! :woohoo: Maybe we could organise something before the ABR Rally in August?CRAIGREVO wrote:Riding lanes is not always the best way to learn because you don't get the chance to try again until you get it right.
