Re: Brexit
A BBC article on European membership - 'a bit' of history is about right there fella.
Next the BBC will be headlining George 'tim nice but dim' Osbourne forecasting how much poorer we will all be when we leave
this from the man who could not accurately forecast his own next birthday.
And then probably a new 'scare' story every day until the June vote.
For all the facts and an impartial news perspective its Al Jazeera all the way !

Re: Brexit
Unfortunately, both sides (In & Out)are pumping out so much unsubstantiated rubbish that we'll never know the real position.
There seem to be no impartial commentators/sources of info.
(As for the BBC, they are never impartial on anything - too many champagne socialists in that rotten organisation)

Re: Brexit
I'm not sure there is such a thing as an impartial view on this subject. Everyone on earth has an angle.
I saw this on facebook earlier:
'I once asked Rupert Murdoch why he was so opposed to the European Union. 'That’s easy,' he replied. 'When I go into Downing Street they do what I say; when I go to Brussels they take no notice.'

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: Brexit
I watched it the other day. The story of how the UK came to go on blended knee and plead with the EEC to be allowed to join their club was interesting and not quite the way I had understood it, but of course being the BBC they will have edited the archive material and loaded the contemporary analysis in order to promote their left wing liberal agenda
The BBC can't win either way, it gets accused of bias by all shades of political ideology and has been pilloried by successive governments of both sides. That reason alone probably means it gets things about right most of the time.

Re: Brexit
I'm afraid that if you read both the arguments for leaving and the ones for staying as we are and believe something of each we're pretty well screwed either way. If that's going to be the case (and why would either side lie?) I might as well vote to stay in because of the ease with which I can work & travel in different EU countries.

Really?
Biased Broadcasting Company more like. Ever since editorial control was ceded to the individual reporter or correspondent rather than centrally advised.
At least other news organisations are open about their political stance.
